Mentor Your Way to Success
Part I
We all want success; success in our personal lives, success on our career paths, and success in our relationships. There are certainly many avenues to success, but one of the foremost ought to be a mentor.
Remember when you were traveling along the highways and back roads before GPS and navigation systems? You just got turned around… LOST!
Somebody knows what I’m talking about here, and you were so frustrated, because you turned left, stop at the red light, made the right turn… You tried to follow the exact directions from memory. Then you got smart and stopped somebody to ask for directions. But, instead of them telling you go this way or that way, turn here or there, they said “Follow me, I’m going right by there.” Tears welled up in your eyes, and you thought to yourself "Yes! … "Sweeeet!"
Well my friends, You encountered a mentor; one who can show you the way, the truth; no half-stepping, no getting turned around. The mentor has already chopped down the forest, blazed the trail, so you can follow.
If we look back in the Word of God, this concept was very evident. Lot had Abraham, Joshua had Moses, Solomon had David--everywhere we read each of these individuals had good success. Why? Because they had mentors.
I challenge each of you today to go out and find a mentor and experience even greater success in any area of your life.
